The Role

In this highly visible role on the Strategy and Corporate Development team, you will apply thought leadership, analytical skills, and business judgment to help senior leadership define strategic priorities, deliver operational excellence, and foster innovation and growth for SurveyMonkey. You will also identify and execute on strategic M&A opportunities in support of SurveyMonkey’s growth goals. This is a unique role spanning organic and inorganic growth and the right candidate will have a passion for identifying the right opportunities to achieve SurveyMonkey’s vision and for operational excellence that can realize those opportunities. 


Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support SurveyMonkey’s inorganic and organic growth strategy framework
  • Research and articulate the competitive landscape and identify strategic opportunities and threats
  • Craft and deliver high-quality presentations to senior executives 
  • Take initiative and ownership over increasingly complex workstreams to organically achieve goals
  • Drive M&A processes from start to finish -- sourcing, due diligence, integration and value creation
  • Build and model business cases (for organic and inorganic investments)
  • Selectively interact with and build relationships with key industry players (bankers, consultants, and thought leaders)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in economics, management, finance, or other business related fields or a technical/scientific field
  • 3-5 years of work experience; 2+ years in investment banking, private equity or management consulting is a plus
  • Data and results-driven with great analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional organization and planning capabilities
  • Ability to build productive cross-functional and senior management relationships
  • Desire to drive significant impact in a high-growth environment
  • Passion for learning about SaaS and online business models
