ICT Workshop, June 10-11, the Association for Migration Research - GAR (10-11 Haziran 2021)

Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have provoked major and rapid changes in almost all aspects of our lives over the past two decades. International migration is one area in which it has been possible to observe the multi-level and multi- faceted impact of ICTs. With this in mind, our workshop aims to bring together scholars from different disciplines and NGO representatives to give fresh impetus to the study of ICTs’ impact in migration processes in the case of Turkey. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri (BİT) son yirmi yılda hayatımızın hemen her alanında büyük ve hızlı değişimlere neden oldu. Öte yandan, uluslararası göç, BİT'lerin çok seviyeli ve çok yönlü etkisinin gözlemlendiği önemli bir alandır. Bu önemli saptamalardan hareketle, çalıştayımız farklı disiplinlerden akademisyenleri ve STK temsilcilerini bir araya getirerek Türkiye örneğinde BİT'lerin göç süreçlerindeki etkisinin araştırılmasına yeni bir ivme kazandırmayı amaçlıyor.
